Weekend in Birmingham

As many of my Insta followers will know, this last weekend I took a short break in Birmingham. Whilst there I visited the Glee Comedy Club and Birmingham's Bullring Shopping Center.
We chose to stay in the Copthorne Hotel, which is fairly central and easy to get to when the roadworks are not taking over! I'm a big fan of breakfast and always like to try somewhere new, so when I heard that within the Bullring was a new and quirky breakfast venue, I had to try it out!

The Cereal Killer Cafe is one of the best breakfast places I have been too, if you like cereal and milkshakes or hot chocolates your in for a real treat here. The menu is very extensive with cereal brands from around the world available to try. The shop itself is very quirky with the interior all old-school, and reminiscing is essential. Even the napkin holder is a Cassette tape!

The display cabinets have lots of old toys and cartoon memorabilia that many will recognise. When you order at the counter, rather than getting a number or a flag to place on your table you get a VHS box, ours was Tarzan which I also think is a funky touch.

There are lots of cereals to choose from which are all displayed on the walls around the cafe, however you can have a mixture which you can pick from the menu. Also available are different milk options including Cows milk, Almond milk and Coconut milk as well as many others. I decided to go with the Feckin Nutcase Cereal Cocktail which had Crunchy Nut Clusters, Honey Cheerios, Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, Hazelnuts and Almond Milk. It was a brilliant combination and tasted gorgeous. My boyfriend on the other hand went all E-Numberish and had the Double Rainbow which had Fruit Loops, Fruity Pebbles, Freeze dried Marshmallows and Strawberry Milk.

You cant write a review unless you try more than one thing off the menu though right?! So it was only fair that I forced myself to try one of the Hot Chocolates. It was such an ordeal honestly..! I went for the Strawberry and white Chocolate whilst my other half had the Nutella. Both were gorgeous!

If like me you like the idea of this quirky cafe you dont have to be in Birmingham, there are also two available in London located on Brick Lane and Stables Market in Camden Also find them online here.

Enjoy! Let me know if you visit and what you think!
